 Academic Counselor

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the academic landscape. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for providing academic guidance and support to students in order to help them achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual counseling sessions with students to assess their academic needs and goals
Develop personalized academic plans for students based on their interests and abilities
Assist students with course selection, registration, and scheduling
Monitor student progress and provide support and guidance as needed
Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and other counselors to provide a comprehensive academic support system for students
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
Stay current with trends and developments in the academic field
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in academic counseling or a related field
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Familiarity with academic programs and requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
